
Baños Colina
The hot springs are located about 104 km from Santiago, in the upper section of Maipo Valley. The thermal water has a temperature of 70 ° C. Several natural swimming pools invite you to linger. From here, you can go hiking or climbing or you can just enjoy the scenery.

Baños Morales
In Baños Morales you will find the park entrance to the natural monument El Morado. The state-owned area of 3,009 hectares is open to the public for an admission fee. It is one of the few areas in Chile which is explicitly protected for geological reasons. It comprises mainly the river bed of the Morales, which is regarded as a representative example of the processes of glaciation in the Central Andes (Decreto Supremo 2,581, 1994). Highly representative and well-preserved examples of glacial morphology, such as a large U-shaped basin, a protruding horn with a sharp ridge or a terminal moraine can be mentioned as important attractions.

El Canelo
This place is located 32 km from Santiago and has several lagoons with clear water, which are well suited for fishing.
El Ingenio
This is a small spa town, about 66 km from Santiago and 18 km from San José de Maipo. Here, the creek El Ingenio invites you to fish salmon.

El Manzano
Excursions to the mountains lead along the creek El Manzano, which has several places for fishing. Low shrubs grow along the creek, such as litre and boldo.
El Melocotón

Embalse El Yeso
To get to El Yeso dam, located 98 km from Santiago, you have to cross the Maipo Valley. This reservoir contains 253 million cubic meters of turquoise water and is at 3,000m altitude. A place for windsurfers and friends of salmon fishing.
El Volcán
This village is situated in the mountains, about 80 kilometers from Santiago and 65 km from San José de Maipo. It was founded around 1874, when smaller mining companies began with the copper mining industry in that area.

Guayacán
In this small village, 44 km from Santiago and 30 km from San José de Maipo, there are picnic areas, restaurants and cafés.
La Obra
In La Obra, which is 29 km from Santiago and 14 km from San José de Maipo, the masons are at home. They make mortars out of natural stone, in which the typical «Chancho en piedra» is prepared. Consisting of tomatoes, green chili, coriander, oil and spices, this sauce is used for many different typical dishes.

Las Vertientes
From Santiago it is 31 km, and from San Jose de Maipo 17 km, until you get to Las Vertientes, a town with some summer residences. Its name derives from the watercourses (vertientes) around the area.
San Alfonso
Beautiful excursion areas, campsites and cafés can be found in San Alfonso, 59 km from Santiago. An ideal starting point for excursions and hikes to the surrounding mountains. Geologically interesting places are the destination for amateur researchers.

San Gabriel
San Gabriel is located 70 km from Santiago and 22 km from San José de Maipo, at km 47. From here, you can get to Laguna Negra and the creek El Manzanillo, both very suitable for fishing. Towards east, the road leads to the natural monument El Morado and Yelcho dam.
Termas del Plomo
These rustic thermal pools are located in the central valley of the Andes, and in these natural water holes you can take a bath with a view of the surrounding snow.
